What to Expect During a Session
1.The Setup
You will lie comfortably on a treatment table, usually on your side or back. Your practitioner will gently insert a small, lubricated, single-use disposable speculum into the rectum. The speculum is connected to two tubes: one that introduces clean, purified water and one that safely carries waste material away through a closed system.
2.The Flush
Warm, purified water is slowly introduced into the colon at a low and carefully controlled pressure. As the water enters the lower bowel, it helps soften and loosen accumulated waste material and trapped gas. During this stage, you may experience a mild sensation of fullness or slight cramping, similar to the feeling of needing to have a bowel movement.
3.Abdominal Massage
To encourage the movement of water through the large intestine and help loosen impacted waste, your practitioner may perform a gentle external abdominal massage during the treatment.
4.Evacuation
The loosened waste material and water are safely removed through the waste tube into a fully enclosed system. This process is hygienic, discreet, and designed to minimise mess and odour. At the end of the session, you may spend a few minutes using a standard toilet to comfortably release any remaining water.
Aftercare Advice
Many clients report feeling lighter, fresher, and more energised after treatment. As the procedure may remove fluids from the body, it is important to rehydrate well by drinking plenty of water and replenishing electrolytes where appropriate. We also recommend eating light, easily digestible meals for the remainder of the day. Some clients choose to include a probiotic supplement as part of their wellness routine to help support digestive balance following treatment.
